A retrospective of Immigration Practice in 2020 and the effects of the Covid 19 pandemic was the theme of the Business Immigration attorney, Annelise Sander, lecture presented on January 5, 2021, for the Miami BNI Alliance. Due to the effects of the Covid19 Pandemic, 2020 was a dramatic year for immigration law and border control. Consequently, many executive orders were published, and the Florida attorney explained how those affected the lives and the flow of immigrants and non-immigrants in the United States. Further, she briefly discussed other vital topics in 2020, including the USCIS budget crisis, the USCIS’ announcement of new fees, and the repercussions of the Public Charge Rule and Form I944-Declaration Self-Sufficiency.
