Annelise Sander
Annelise Sander is a licensed attorney in the state of Florida, United States, since 2017, and in Brazil since 2012. In addition to her experience in Nationality Law and Immigration Law, particularly Business Immigration. Annelise Sander also has experience in International Arbitration, Corporate Law, M&A, Asset Recovery and Brazilian Tax Law.
The combination of her experience in several related areas enables her to develop reliable business immigration strategies for her clients, including Investor Visas (Treaty Investor Visas - E Visas); Transfer of Executives and Managers (Intracompany Transferee Executive or Manager - L Visas and EB1C Visas); and immigration visas for highly qualified professionals (Extraordinary Ability - EB1A Visas; Advanced Degree - EB2; Exceptional Ability - EB2; National Interest Waivers; EB2 and EB3 Labor Certifications).
She completed her Juris Doctor degree (2014-2017) with high honors, Cum Laude, and an LLM - Latin Legum Magister in International Arbitration degree (2016-2017), both from the University of Miami School of Law. During her academic studies in the United States, she was a member of the International Moot Court Board leadership and a Street Law volunteer.
In 2017, she received the award Order of the Barristers because of results and participation in Moot Court competitions. Each year, the University of Miami School of Law in conjunction with the University of Texas at Austin School of Law awards ten law students to recognize their oral defense and legal writing skills. That year, Annelise Sander was the only non-native English speaker to receive the award.
In Brazil, she concluded her Bachelor of Law Degree from Unicesumar (2012). There, she received the “Best Students” award (e.g., "Dean's List") every year of her college education. Her final course thesis on Antitrust Law received top grades and subsequently presented and published at a Law Conference held by the Universidade Estadual de Londrina (UEL). Complete her education, a postgraduate degree in Business Law with a concentration on Labor Law and Tax Law from Instituto Paranaense de Ensino (2013), and a certificate in Tax Planning from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (2018). She was a registered researcher for the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNpQ) from 2009 to 2011. She received a scholarship from CNpQ in 2010-2011 due to her research and scientific articles presented in multiple law conferences. Still, in Brazil, her work experience highlights include serving as an In-House Counsel for a Real Estate Development and Construction Company in the states of São Paulo and Paraná (2012-2013).
Passionate about law and legal research, Annelise Sander has published over 19 articles and papers in Legal Journals and Law Conferences, including Conferences held by the CONPEDI - National Council for Research and Postgraduate Legal Studies. Her scholarly work on Tax Law and Asset Recovery titled “Practical and Theoretical Aspects of the Special Statute of Limitations applied in Tax Execution Proceedings,” has been cited by many respected jurists. Her work has also been named by Court of Appeals Judges at the Alagoas Court of Appeals (TJAL – Tribunal de Justiça de Alagoas) in dozens of decisions, confirming the relevance and importance of her legal analysis and legal writing.
